First Presbyterian Church
Sioux Falls, SD

In 1959, an Austin organ was installed at First Presbyterian church. It consisted of 33 ranks and nearly 2100 pipes. Hendrickson Organ Company added to and updated the Austin organ in 2003. The finished product is an Austin/Hendrickson 38 rank, 3 manual organ with a new solid-state combination action to operate all stoptablets with a 36 channel memory control panel and read-out installed on the console. A new solid-state relay system was installed to operate all switching functions in the console and organ, including the connections from console to organ. New lighting was installed on the console to illuminate the music rack, stoptablets, keyboards and pedalboard. All keyboards now have new keytops as well. New ranks added to the Great include: Pommer 16, Trumpet 8, a Spitzflote 4 (replaces a Quintadena 4), and a fourth rank to the Mixture. On the Choir manual, a Nasard 2 2/3 and a Waldflote 2 have been added.
